Kandykane Danceblog: Dances' history intertwined (part 1)- types of dances

Dance is popular all over the world. Through centuries of developing, we now have many different dance styles which can sometimes be distinguishable by their associating shoes, music, and costumes. However, despite they are very different in many ways, somehow they share bits of origins and the development of different styles have been intertwined with one another.

If we need to class the world's dances, I have a simplest way to class them all into four categories; however, this classification would be somewhat too simple and absolutely not the only one way to class dances.
