Pointing is not only for ballet dancers, we also need to point.
Very often your dance teacher tells you to 'turn toes out' and 'point your toes', and you find this 'toes pointed out' from the technique book, but exactly how to point it?
First of all, never stand tiptoed.
Secondly, relax the toes.
Then, use the strength in the ankles, wing the feet out and arch your feet.
At the same time, turn the whole leg out starting from the thighs.
And of course, remember to straighten your legs and lock your knees.
