Lift the Mermaid

Wedding couples are having their first dance in their gowns.

However, wearing their gowns to dance, is very different from wearing a dance costumes to dance- even though the dance costumes could be a long dress as well.

Dance costumes, no matter how long, or how short, or how skinny tight, or how baggy loosening… once you fit them on, you will find that they are surprisingly fit for dancing. Just by looking at the appearance of those dance costumes, you might think that they would limit your leg movements, but in fact they won’t.

On the other hand, gown is an absolutely different idea. They are designed to flatter the ladies, and they are of course wonderful for photographing. Just one thing, they are definitely not friendly for dancing, they are simply not designed for this purpose.

Thus there is a need to think about the friendlies way to incorporate a dance lift in varies dresses.

In my opinion, the mermaid is a mission impossible. It is not friendly for lifting, in fact, it is not friendly for dancing at all. It limits the legs movements; a graceful mermaid gown might demand corset that tightens the lady’s waist to 20cm.

This way, the lady’s core is already tightened, however this won’t help her dance. This is not actively engaging the core muscles, it is to rub the lady tight and too tight that could strangle her.

Ummm, this kind of dress is not suitable for dancing, but remember on the wedding day, dancing is not the focus, staying pretty in a gorgeous dress and be shot. A lot of films is the focus.

So if the wedding couple still like to have a dance in this wonderful wedding dress, it is the job for a dance code to create a choreo for them to overcome all constraints.
