A choreographer is a professional whose responsibility is to design and arrange dance movements and/or sequences for performances. Thus choreographers are literally artists. In order to achieve this, a choreographer must analyze music and its rhythm, ensuring that the choreography complements the auditory experience.
Apart from the above, choreographers also work to provide direction during rehearsals guiding dancers to achieve the desired movements and expressions for the performance. Therefore, a choreographer also has the quality of a coach, a caller, and a performer.
