When the dance classes got suspended...

The dance classes have been suspended for quite a long time, the dance exams are all delayed too. All the suspension and delaying are the result of the very wide spread of COVID 19.

As a dance teacher, it is definitely not a good news. Not only the income has gone, more importantly, it is the connection with the dance learners.

Adult learners come to classes because they got interested, however, it is not easy to maintain this interest as they move from complete beginner level to intermediate level. There is a great leap in terms of the techniques required.
Even it gets more and more difficult to advance, as long as there a well-established habit of coming to a class regularly, improvment would be a matter of time.

But now this ideal connection is broken- no more regular classes, no encourgement/pressure from the peer and/or teacher.

Although online classes are still open, it is quite impossible to understand your own problems without having a real teacher to correct your posture, and to know how the weight needs to be placed in the absence of a real teacher to demonstrate that you can come close to check with your own eyes.

There is a lot of other inconvenience. Maybe I can share with you all next time.
