Maybe you really can expect more...

As said before, a dance instructor does not only know one kind of dance style. For us the ballroom dancers, we are at least qualified in 10 dances, and line dancing is becoming a must, not a bonus, among local dance teachers.

However, grabbing all these professional certificates in hand is not enough.

In real life, I have many enquiries asking if Hip-hop is offered, if jazz is offered, if a particular routine from DWTS is offered, if a performance dance on a MV is offered...

I think you already guest the answer.

Yes, the answer is yes.

I can offer whatever the clients asked, oh not exactly. I offer everything except ballet. Jazz, hip-hop, moonwalking or the moves in movies/MV are possible to catch by doing a little YouTube ( especially the movies/MV dances).

This is not impossible for a dancer. I think anyone who has a musical ear and knows the human body enough can do so.

Dancing, all kinda of dancing, involves the use of body, i.e. involves the use of muscles. If you can separate your body and control specific parts of muscles to move in a designated way with music, you can probably do this job too.

However ballet is different, it is too technical, a good ballet dancer needs to start their training at a very young age, otherwise the body is not growing in the way that the ballet needs. Just to name an instance, the toes in a pointed shoe, you can't even balance yourself in the pointe shoes without 4 or 5 years training.

But anyway, I still think that an ordinary dance learner can expect a little more than you used to think in your studio. This is a challenge for the instructor, but it is a very nice stimulus too.
