So is it possible?
Yes, possible, with some conditions.
First and foremost, the heels! Even both dancers are ladies, some couples prefer to have suits and dress, some like to have dresses only. Usually the former wear leather shoes while the latter wear heels. With some tricks, the former can probably do the lift.
Another key is power. This is the easiest to understand, when the lead is strong enough then lifting is not a matter. However, women themselves are naturally less powerful than men.
If the costume matter is settled, and the lead is muscular enough, the final key to lift is the technique. Technique is very technical, but technical doesn’t mean difficult. Here technical is basic physics- the Principle of Leverage. Making sure the effort arm is longer then it will be easier to lift the partner.
If the lift goes together with a fly around immediately, then a faster turn would be easier. The only point is to give a sufficiently big initial force, once the partner is lifted and the lead starts to turn, try accelerating the turn at once- the centrifugal force can definitely help!
And this is why a 153cm me can lift most of the lady dancers!
